Are you a nonprofit?

We’re a family-owned, mission-driven thrift store. While we aren’t a nonprofit, we stay community-focused by keeping prices low and giving back!! Our long-term goal is to expand our Pay It Forward Fund into a nonprofit companion program within our store that further extends our mission and community impact.

 

How much money do you make?
Right now, NONE!  We are in the startup phase and are investing our own money to get things running. Our hope is that as we grow, the store will eventually support the community and provide for our family. For now, every dollar goes right back into the store and our mission.

 

Do the owners take the best items for themselves?
No. We occasionally purchase items our family genuinely needs, but we receive far more donations than our small family could ever use. We put out a large volume of quality items every week, and there is always plenty available for everyone!

 

Do employees get "first dibs" on items?
Sometimes. As a perk of working at 3L Thrift Store, employees may set aside a limited number of "first dibs" items each month to purchase later. During their shift, employees are only allowed to set aside items for personal use and may not resell items or buy for others. We receive far more donations than a few employees could ever take.

 

Do you sell the "good stuff" online?
Sometimes we sell a small percentage of higher-value items online helps cover operating costs and allows us to keep in-store prices extremely affordable while keeping our free section fully stocked. But there is plenty of "good stuff" in the store!!

 

Do you offer special arrangements for resellers?
No. Resellers are welcome to shop during normal business hours like any other customer, but we do not offer special hours, pricing, or arrangements.

 

Do you offer consignment?
No. Our store operates on donated inventory only so we can keep prices low. Consignment requires additional contracts, bookkeeping, and pricing rules that do not fit our current business model.

 

Do you negotiate prices?
No. Everything is already priced as low as possible, so we do not negotiate.

 

Do you accept returns or exchanges?
No. All sales are final. Please check items carefully before purchasing.

 

Do you test electronics?
Not always. We do our best when possible, but all electronics are sold as-is. Please test items before purchasing.  We have outlets and batteries available.

 

Do you hold items?
We only offer holds on large items that have been paid for in full. Once paid, we can hold the item for 24 hours while you arrange pickup or transportation. We do not hold items without payment and cannot reserve items by phone, message, or social media.

 

How often do you restock?
Constantly. New items are added daily as things are donated, so inventory is always changing.

 

Can I volunteer?

YES! We accept volunteers who need community service hours, such as students or individuals completing required service. We also welcome volunteers who simply want to give back by supporting our Pay It Forward Fund, which provides free shopping funds to community members in need.
